Zach Wienersmith, creator of SMBC, and Alex Woolfson, the writer and publisher of the full-color yaoi webcomics Artifice and The Young Protectors, talk about why releasing your work as a webcomic is the best way to build an audience, connect with your readers and ultimately earn some income for your hard work. Megan Praz does webcomics for publications such as Autostraddle and SKYD Magazine. They will discuss the reasons why releasing your comic a page a week on the web is superior to other forms of independent publishing and will cover how to set up your Web site, promote your work with online ads, build a fan base, set up a successful donation system and ultimately bring your book to print.
